Fashion by Noah Castillero

Noah Castillero is known around campus for his style. He has been described as both  fashion forward and classy. He finds joy in the task of putting separate articles of clothing together and wearing his creations. He takes advantage of accent pieces, embellishing his attire with necklaces, bracelets, clasps and bold colors to evaluate the clothing to new levels. His personality adds flare and style to his wardrobe. However, Castillero doesn’t limit his personality with the clothes he wears. “I don’t see my clothes as defining me,” Castillero said. ”Even though I like to wear fun clothes, I don’t want people to just remember me as a person that just dressed well.” He believes that personality should guide the way a person decides to portray themselves, never the other way around.
Down below are six of Noah Castillero originals:

“I am wearing Louis Vuitton— just kidding.” Castillero said, “I am [ actually] wearing white platform converse that I got at Platos Closet for $30, black socks, these jeans that are not my favorite — we have a love-hate relationship because they get dirty really easily but they fit me nice, this grey, thin, long sleeve shirt that I got at H&M, this light blue looking thing that I got at Nordstrom Rack, and, of course, my creepy, children eyes collar clasp that I got for $10. And my smile that is priceless.”

“Here, I am wearing one of my favorite jackets which is my acid-washed, denim jacket and my polaroid shirt.” Castillero said. “The glasses I’m wearing are actually glasses my friend Natalie Dominguez bought me in France. I like this outfit because it’s kind of retro looking, especially with the acid washed jacket. These maroon pants are my favorite pants. I wear them all the time.”

Castillero lists the items he’s wearing: “I am wearing a red short-sleeve collar birds of paradise shirt and a black sweater that says ‘1981’. I got [the sweater] along with the necklace, from H&M. I really love H&M because they have inexpensive clothing but they really fit my style.” He said “there is no reason” in particular that he has a 1981 sweater. “But, he added, “I found out that Mr. Vansickle was born that year so—yay.”

I got this old, green, leafy shirt from my [dad’s closet]. This jacket I got freshman year from my friends Waverly Kuisle and Tia Kuisle. Castillero discusses why he choose his tan colored jacket over other clothing from his collection: “I really like this jacket that I’m wearing; it’s super flashy and gaudy. It was a jacket [originally] my dad’s. He was really into—and actually still into porsches, so, when I wear it I [feel] like it’s a family relic.”

“I’m wearing another article from my father’s closet and that’s his blue denim work shirt. I’ve kind of made it into what I like to call my painting shirt because it’s really comfy and I don’t care if stuff gets on it. I really like this bird shirt even though the description of the birds are off. They aren’t translated to english correctly. It’s really weird. Then these are my really comfy pants.” Castillero said. “So this is [basically] my comfy outfit.”
