Hichizuki Japanese’s mouth-watering sushi is all but lacking in flavor

Good sushi is hard to come by nowadays; it can come off as too dry, hard to swallow, or even bad in the stomach, but Hichizuki Sushi has successfully mastered the art of a fulfilling and rewarding eating experience.

Located at 324 West Valley Pkwy, Escondido, right by the Starbucks across from the old high school campus, Hichizuki provides a comfortable dining environment as well as beautifully prepared plates, along with kind and competent staff.

Lily Garcia, a junior, describes their Eel Roll as having “its own sweet flavor. It’s also warm and crunchy; it’s very, very tasty.”  The flavor presented in this particular roll is something of a warm, fire-like taste. Its alluring scent and pleasing taste, as well as its beautiful presentation, show the true artistic nature of the establishment.

However, unless you have a surplus of currency, buying well-made, tasteful sushi is a difficult task to accomplish. The California Roll, which costs four dollars, is severely bland, unless accompanied with soy sauce. However, the Rainbow Roll, which is more expensive but brings about a better taste, displays its many flavors in an extremely competent manner, with or without soy sauce, ginger, wasabi, or any other additive.

To accompany this wonderful eating experience, kind staff greet, serve, and even make pleasant conversation with all of the guests. ”I thought [the waitress] was very friendly, and also it was her first day coming back from Bangkok, so I thought it was very nice that she was able to do all that she did for us,” says junior Nicholas Soultanian, a frequent customer of Hichizuki.

To eat at this establishment is to experience multiple flavors at once inside of each piece of sushi, as well as to enjoy yourself in a comfortable and kind venue. Hichizuki Japanese has successfully combined the flavors of the ocean and traditional Japanese food together to create a beautiful and memorable eating experience.
