“I have a fear of bugs crawling into my ear and popping my eardrum and proceeding to eat my brain,” senior Logan Adkins said.

Adkins has had the fear of bugs crawling into his ear since he heard that his uncle had a bug crawl in his ear and lay eggs. “The scary part about it is that you don’t know what the bug will do once it gets in your ear,” Adkins said. .

Tickling sensations and itches on Logan’s neck or head trigger his fear of bugs in his ear. “The way I cope with this fear is to sleep with headphones in, ” Adkins said.
