A 13-year-old student at Rincon Middle School was caught distributing Xanax on October 25. Six other students were involved— two of whom went to the ER; all of them attended Rincon Middle. Every one of  them came out of the incident without any lasting injuries. Read more here.

26 African teenage girls were found dead in the Mediterranean Sea by Italian officials with their ages ranging from 14 to 18 years old. They were first seen clinging to a dinghy filled with men and other women and children; while sexual assault is presumed, it has not yet been confirmed. Read more here.

Texas church mourns after the fatal shooting that killed 26 fellow church-goers. The killer of their beloved had family who attended the church with whom he had disagreements; he himself had been there without inflicting harm. Soon after his initial visit, he arrived again armed with an “assault rifle, 15 loaded magazines and an obsession over a family dispute.” Read more here.
