Winter Spirit Week 2018
On Tuesday, upperclassmen dressed as nerds, and underclassmen dressed as jocks. Juniors and seniors went all out with glasses, suspenders and bowties, while underclassmen wore letterman jackets, jerseys and hats that represented their favorite teams.
On Feb. 7, upperclassmen dressed as heroes, and underclassmen dressed as villains. Sporting capes and t-shirts upperclassmen dressed as their favorite comic book characters. Some upperclassmen got creative and dressed up as more unconventional heroes, like their teachers. Underclassmen dressed as their favorite villains, like Harley Quinn.
The battle of the decades took place on Thursday: Upperclassmen donned tie-dye shirts, headbands and flowy dress to represent hippies from the 1970s. Underclassmen wore overalls, beanies, vans and cardigans when they dressed as hipsters.
Students gathered in a decorated Caiman Hall for the assembly after second period on Feb. 9, with underclassmen wearing black and upperclassmen wearing red to support their teams. At the assembly, student teams played games like Family Feud, human Battleship and human ring toss to win points.
The teachers and students also participated in a dance. At the end of the assembly, all of the points were tallied up, and it was announced that the red team won.
